I had a dream last night, about my life before I came to live in the town of Gambino. Its been almost four years since I arrived here in Gaia.
You see, I had been chosen to become a priestess of light when I was very young. At the age of 9, I was taken from my only family, a younger sister and against my will, forced to become follower of Lord Fulgor, the God of Light. It was fortold that one day I would have to protect the world from a great darkness like my Lord had done long ago. I was taugh white magic and defensive spells by some of the top mages of our country in hope of both healing and defending our world. But I always wondered, would that be enough? Could I really protect the wolrd with just that by muyself? Or would I, like my great Lord, use up ever last ounce of my strength to seal this darkness away again?
I often ask my self that question.
I dreamt about my younger sister last night. She was only six when I last saw her. She had snuck into my temple to say goodbye and promise me that she would grow big and strong, so that one day she could rescue me. I still remember the determination in her bright yellow eyes. In my dream she had grown into a fine young woman. She was battling a shadow of some sort that I couldn't make out. Only that is aura seemed cold and lifeless. Before I woke she turned to me with those same eyes and spoke "I will protect you Priestess. You are our only hope."
What did she mean by only hope? Is something bad going to happen?
