A twisted poem by yours truely.
I know your name
Like blood, it drips
Down my chin
From my lips
It rolls off the skin
And with wicked crash
Paints the ground
In gentle splash
I know those eyes
The ones that stare
The ones I thought
Weren’t really there
I remember their glint
Burn into my skin
Scorching the flesh
Setting fire within
I know that smile
Twisted and cruel
Watching in silence
Like I was a fool
White pointed teeth
Anger and lust
Biting my throat
Bending my trust
I know that voice
It rings in my ear
Whispering love
That only I hear
Making a promise
That turns into lies
But I believe you
Without them love dies
I know your name
Like blood, it drips
Down my chin
From my lips
It rolls off the skin
And with wicked crash
Paints the ground
In gentle splash
I know those eyes
The ones that stare
The ones I thought
Weren’t really there
I remember their glint
Burn into my skin
Scorching the flesh
Setting fire within
I know that smile
Twisted and cruel
Watching in silence
Like I was a fool
White pointed teeth
Anger and lust
Biting my throat
Bending my trust
I know that voice
It rings in my ear
Whispering love
That only I hear
Making a promise
That turns into lies
But I believe you
Without them love dies
