So, Gaia has sucked me back in. Might as well make a journal, although I have several all over the internet; I don't know why I need another one. *shrugs* I guess I may not update this much.
When I originally joined in 2003, it was only because the avatars looked like they'd make interesting Livejournal icons. I had no idea about the gold system. I'm not a big anime fan, and if it weren't for the creation of the Extended Discussion forum, I probably wouldn't have stuck with this site.
But I did; actually, I got so addicted to it that I felt trapped by it. I was pretty happy when I got too sick to hang around on my computer, and was able to leave the site. (Does that sound weird?) I haven't been back much since 2004, even though I knew I'd probably be worth a lot in letters in a few short months. (Assuming the Gaian economy did not simply collapse in my absence.) I figured it was better for me to stay away.
This place has changed. Wow. Fishing? Gambling? *headshake* I feel like a n00b, trying to navigate this site now.
But I don't have much to do in the evenings, since I'm not in school anymore until January, and I have hours in between shifts at work to blow. So. I figured I'd try my hand at fishing. Got started yesterday.
Just caught my first medium fish. Whoo.
