i do chibi art and the price depends on how many items your avi is decorated with. i guess the most expensive would be 20k and the least would be 1k. i could negotiate with a smaller amount and a trade as long as it still adds up.
for example:
if some one owed me 15,000 gold, but gave me 9,900 gold and suspenders than i would accept it.
i am only going to go by hundreds.(1,000;1,100;1,200; etc)
like i said it depends.
