Apocalyptic
The Reason.
Thousands of years ago, in the year 2674 a meteor hit the earth. It was approximately the size of Alaska. Each country's space programs tried desperately to destroy the hunk of rock, but all failed miserably. Luckily, they had a back-up plan. Humans were brought underground with a food-supply and the ability to grow plants and clone animals for meat. They withstood a second ice age, sat back as the world above began another evolution, where creatures were only partially humanoid. Soon, ethics were put aside, cannibalism soon reigned, reducing the human population. Now, the world above was rendered wild and feral, 'modern' creations reduced to rubble. Animals have evolved, meaning their were no bunny rabbits, but instead variations of sabres, pterydactyls. No dinosaurs, got it? The earth is quiet, free of pollution. But most of all, free to do what you want. Once humans came back to the light, they saw things spoke about in the stuff of legends. The blinding sun, the scent of nature, the colors.
