Why, darling, you look wunderbar.
Talk to Kätzchen. Kätzchen talks back. Kätzchen loves you. So very hard she loves you.
Aww... Nice People DO Exist.
I had almost lost faith in humanity.

For those of you who don't know, my life currently sucks. Just, mainly, s**t building up on s**t, building up on s**t, building up on a garbage barge. Don't worry about what's wrong. It really doesn't matter.

So anyways, I was in the corner store buying some smokes, and the cashier, as she rings me up, makes a casual comment. She said, "You know, the store up the street sells these for a lot cheaper." She probably didn't think anything of it, but the thought that some random lady cared enough to save me a dollar and change was a little bright spot.

Then, my dearest, Griffin. I suppose he can't help but make me smile. So, daily morning text messages are a must. It makes the day that much better. Even if we are going to talk for x amount of time. I still like keeping in touch with him.

But the day just kept getting better.

I go to the local eatery, where I plan to sit and crochet and sip coffee till the library opens. I have one dollar forty-five cents, give or take a dime. I order one coffee. Since I come around often enough, she smiles and asks if I'd like breakfast.

"No, thank you," says I, matching her smile, "I've got a dollar twenty-five to my name. Maybe next time."

She frowns, "I could buy you breakfast if you like."

My face cracks into one of humble gratitude, "Oh, no, thank you. I wouldn't want to be a hassle."

She smiles again, "No! It wouldn't be a hassle at all! What would you like?"

Seeing as it's impolite to decline a gift a second time and refuse someone the happy feeling of helping someone else, I ordered the least expensive thing on the menu, sprinkling her with my thanks. She wouldn't even let me leave my dollar and change as a tip! She told me to hang on to it and grab a drink later.

But the nicest thing today had to be Rob [name changed]. Rob is an older gentleman I met outside the eatery when stepping out for a smoke. Nicest guy! He's a World War Two fighter plane veteran, a commercial pilot, and an engineer! He's been around the world and back! He was so sweet, I couldn't help but talk to him for about an hour. My favourite part of the conversation had to be the casual remark he made.

"You are a gorgeous lady," he says with a smirk, "You know, if I were a little younger, I'd take you home with me."

"You're so nice," I say back, "That, if I were a little older, I'd go!"

We shared a hearty chuckle over that and planned to meet tomorrow at the eatery for breakfast and a little conversation. I have to go and look up interesting things to talk about. I don't want tot be caught in an awkward silence!
