"Gothic" was a style of art/architecture that died out at the end of the dark ages. Of course, it was also a religious sect that wore mostly black and painted their faces with ash and coal, giving them a dead, yet alive look...of course, this sect was basically hunted to extinction during the crusades...
It is not a form of MUSIC...
