This love is forever etched in my heart;
Though it has been crushed, broken, hurt, and torn;
My heart still holds to him as from the start;
All my strength has gone and from him I am worn.
I have seen him not but he’s in my dreams;
I try to forget, I try to move on;
But I can sense him there as my heart screams;
I still love him, and to his eyes I’m drawn.
My life seems to be half of what it was;
He was my motivation that once thrived;
I know completing me is what he does;
Without him, I’m empty, I feel deprived.
He is the one cause for my heart’s lockdown;
For he remains there, he is all around.
