And so, after having been told on Monday that I was going to leave that night for MEPS I had to call in from work. It was great haha. But yea I had went on a long shuttle ride up there, gahh I was dying with the rap music playing the whole way. Mostly I stayed with the people I knew from the shuttle. They're pretty cool people. Don't really remember their names though...Yea so we played like Halo 2 and stuff after check in. I suck horribly at it lol I haven't really played it in a long time. So after that my roommate kept talking on and on when I met her. She's interesting but yea...I really wanted to sleep. So she set the alarm for 3:15 am so she can do her hair...By the time I'm already done she's still messing with her hair Almost was late, but I'm happy I got breakfast. Got to the MEPS at like 5 something and we all had to get these little badges and put our bags in lockers. It was lots of boring tests. I had to take like an eye one, hearing, and get my blood pressure taken. Some lady took my blood and now I have a bruise on me grr. I couldn't go to the bathroom like so me and 3 other girls kept trying to drink water, but yea after awhile we got there stupid specimen. Took a breathalizer and some other random stuff. Time for physicals afterwards. Oh the joys of that ew. I hate that...just old doctors having to like check every last thing about your body. Tattoos, scars, random other stuff...then we did these weird joint exercises. Duck walking was so freaking weird! I swear nobody did it right haha. Some other little tests and also had a doctor interview. After like an hour and a half of that we went to wait in the lobby. They started serving food out but I thought that I'd wait for my job interview. But that turned out to be really long time from then, over an hour and so I finally was told by them when they called my name to eat first and come back. So I did and came back...and they told me to sit in the lobby again. Annoying stuff that was. But yea I finally got over there and the guy got me down to sign some papers and I got my MOS for being an Aviation Operations Specialist. Shouldn't be too bad, did some more waiting for fingerprints and then did the swear in. And thus me and 2 other guys went outside to wait for almost 2 hours for the shuttle...and turns out we were supposed to wait in the lobby. We were out in the cold for no reason it sucked! So yea that's all on that. Came back home and work called me saying I had to come into close. After I talked with my recruiters for a bit and took pictures with my spiffy Marines shirt I went home and went straight to work. Wasn't too bad closing with Jillian...but that was basically my whole day. I didn't want to make it super long lol.
