Okay so one thing that has really been ticking me off lately is Gaia's music forum. I'm not really talking about the forum itself, just the people that post in it.

What ticks me off is when people start threads or post something about a certain artist or band that they like and then like 200000 people are there to criticize and tell them how incredibly stupid they are for liking that band and how everything they listen to is crap. They go on and on saying how "such and such" band is a disgrace to music in and of itself and whoever listens to "that garbage" should be shot. I swear everyone here must have a superiority complex or something because they all think they have a better taste in everything not just music I. Hate. It.

What’s more is that after they are done saying all of this they go on say how they are a "non-conformist" and have an "original mind" and "real dreams" and listen to "real music". That is total crap. I say that if you go around saying that a person is stupid or inadequate because you don't like the music or the movies or the style that they do, makes you just like the people you are trying to not conform to.

"non-conformity" is not being the polar opposite of what’s popular, its being who you are and liking what you like for the sole reason of that’s what your into and not because its what is mainstream and popular.

Personally I don't like the Jo Bro's. I actually can't stand their music. But I have some friends that like them, but you don't see me going around yelling about how squeaky their voices sound to me. Because honestly they can listen to whatever the heck they want and I don't care.

All I'm saying is that it would be nice if people (including myself) could post whatever we like in the forum without getting totally flamed for it


And I'm prolly getting flamed for writing this now...aren't I? lolz ninja
