Words are powerful things they can tell a person how you feel about them, but they can also degrade a person to make them think that are losers. Whoeever created the saying sticks and stones may break my bones. Obviously had never had their heartbroken or their selfconfidence shattered. Words can change the future as well for example when one is singing and there happens to be a label producer at the performance if they thank you have it. They might walk up to you after the performance and say, "I want you to make you a star". Those 8 words changed your life for forever.
