Oh why do I feel so lonely today?
Darkness has come take the little happiness away from my heart again...
Oh this pain that I cannot take
Darkness, when will you go away?
And let the sun rays finally shine through?
Only a glimpse of a ray will suffice
To start the healing of a lonely heart
Darkness don't toy with my mind anymore
Why do you torture me so?
Loneliness you'll never be my best friend
Don't insist anymore and leave me alone
Although we spend good times together that helped me grow
We must now break away.
Let me be free to find my own way towards happiness...
Even though I cannot say you have been a good companion
The tears that I shed because of you weren't in vain
The have cleaned up my spirit; strenghtening it from within
To confront and fight this consuming Darkness.
The blindfold is off now;
I can clearly see...
This consuming came from no one, but me;
I had the willingness to to stir it, till it rose over me
Now it is I who must drive it away
Only on me.
Daylight will come
The sun rays will shine for me...
Oh Darkness you and your safety will be missed
My mistakes and miseries forgotten may be
But will always be a part of me.
I know this journey won't be an ease
But I'm willing to take the risk...
I have spoken
So mote it be!
