Wayde's book of himself
The story of Wayde Ultima, a Chaos Warrior/Ultalimian cat boy who whinks he's cooler than everyone else and plans to skate for a living.
The story
Ok, here it is. The moment you've all not been waiting for. The story!

UltimaOne
The Beginning

It was a warm spring Friday. Wayde and his friends were walking home from school talking about the test that they had just taken in 7th hour math.
"Geez, that was hard!" said Josh. Josh was a tall blonde-haired guy who, as Wayde had once said, should be in Riply's for passing the 8th grade.
"No kiddin'" replied Zack, another tall 9th grader who was exactly like Josh, but with black hair and about 3x the IQ of Josh (Which still isn't saying much). "I bet Wayde passed it with flying colors. He must be some kind of prodigy or something. He never gets a grade less than an A-."
"Most likely." commented Wayde, ignoring the look of jealousy that he was getting. Wayde was shorter than the others, but still fairly tall. He was extremely intelligent and had black hair with a cowlick on the right side of his forehead. In the 8th grade yearbook, he was voted most likely to over-achieve in over-achieving. "You guys act like you failed or something."
"We did." they said in unison.
"How do you know?" Wayde asked.
"I answered all of the questions with B, and Zack copied off of my paper." frowned Josh.
"You two are pitiful." laughed Wayde. "I've gotta go. Laters."
He ran quickly home, hoping that his package had arrived in the mail. He had been waiting for three weeks for those, as he had put it, "stupid postal idiots" to deliver it. It was supposed to be a program for his computer that lets him design full-fledged video games and anime. He had ordered it and a large modem with, yet another quote from Wayde, "like infinite memory" with the money he had saved for the past five years doing odd jobs almost every day. He almost knocked down the door, forgetting how to open it due to excitement.
"Is it here!?" He questioned, panting.
"No, not today. Sorry." said his Nan. Wayde collapsed onto the couch.
"Can't we like, complain or something?" he whined. "They're taking forever. I could've built my own program by now."
"I wouldn't doubt it. What are you gonna do with it when it gets here?" asked Nan.
"Well, I was thinking about making my own website. Ya know, like a forum. But instead of just any old forum, it will have a battle system and you can walk around and stuff. And I'm planning on making it VR and everything."
"VR?" she looked at him.
"Virtual reality." he answered, confidentally.
"And how do you plan on doing that?"
"Who gets straight A's, built his own computer, and has been the winner of the Science Fair with his own electronics for five years running?"
"Ok I get the point. I need to run some errands. I'll be back in an hour. Eat, do your homework if you have any, and don't forget to program the VCR to record those shows that you watch."
"I will. Bye."
"Bye."
Wayde watched as her car pulled out of the driveway. He had no homework, because it was the weekend. He walked into his bedroom and booted up his computer.
Dear Postal Freaks he typed I am sorry for the name calling, but I have recently ordered a program and hard drive from SoYaWannaAnimateStuff.com, but you have failed to deliver it within the two week time limit given. I know that it has been shipped by the company, due to the fact that it has been recognized by the U.S. Postal Service in L.A. where the company headquarters is stationed. I would appreciate it if you would hurry to deliver my parcel. Many thanks, Wayde Ultima.
"Hehe," he laughed to himself as he e-mailed the message, "let's see how they respond to that."
He left his room without turning off his comuter then walked into the shed and got out his bike. He then rode to Cody's house to play video games.
"And that makes ten." Wayde said, grinning, as he put another tally mark on a paper. He and Cody had been playing a four-disc RPG with a minimum playing time of 98 hours. They were having a contest to see who could beat it the most times in an hour. Wayde was winning. "Have you even beat it once?"
"No. I'm stuck at the part where you fight Anubis." frowned Cody.
"Did you try using light-type attacks?" Wayde said.
"No." Cody flinched, as if highly embarassed.
"Well, duh!" Wayde laughed.
The next day, early in the morning, Wayde was awoken by a faint knocking.
"I'll get it!" he called, throwing on some clothes and running to the front door.
"Package," said the postman, handing him a small box, "for a Ms. Susan Ultima."
"Thank you." Wayde said, sadly. He walked in and gave it to Nan.
Later that day, Wayde booted up his computer and checked his e-mail. There were eight new messages and one was from the U.S. Postal Service. It said:
Dear customer freak, we are sorry for the inconvinience. If the package is not at your front door by ten o' clock today, we will not only give you a refund in shipping but also give you another program and hard drive courtesy of the U.S Postal Service. If it is delivered even 1 minute late, the extra hard drive is yours. It has been sent with the postman just in case. Thank you for using the U.S. Postal Service. Sincerely, Bob Johnson
Wayde was quick to respond.
Dear postal non-freaks, Ok, that works. Thank you, Wayde Ultima
He sent the message then looked up at the clock.
9:50 A.M.!? he thought they can't possibly make it in time! Wayde got his computer ready to set up the hard drives and to load the program. Well, I still have about 5,000 dollars left in my account. Hmm... I know!!! He grabbed his bike and said, "Nan, I've gotta go somewhere, be right back."
"Ok, don't be gone too long." Wayde rode at top speed to the electronics store. When he got there, he locked his bike then, noticing the "No running" sign, he walked quickly to the Tv and Monitor section. Then, he picked up the biggest, most expensive flat screen tv in the store (And just so you know, it was big enough to cover one whole wall of his room).
"Now, you realize that this costs about $3000, right?" said the clerk at the checkout isle. Wayde put three 1000 dollar bills in front of him. "Oh, ok. I understand."
"Yes! I got it!" grinned Wayde. He had the huge box strapped to his back and had to walk because he couldn't keep his balance on his bike. He walked in the front door.
"Oh, hi. Your package got here a few minutes after you left. He gave you two of them, though... I told him it was okay but he insisted." Nan said, curiously.
"Thanks." said Wayde, moving everything into his room. When he finished, he collapsed onto his bed. "This is a lot of work." He hooked everything up (even the flat screen) and turned it on.
"Welcome to make your own video games and anime. To use the guided version of the program, press the 1 key. To use it on your own, press the 2 key." said the computer. Wayde pressed 2. The program booted up. Wayde began the long task of building a virtual world. He built the landscape, programmed movement, put that there, put this there. The only times he stopped were to eat and sleep and that kind of thing. Two weeks of nothing but programming. When he'd get home from school, he'd grab a bottle of water and head straight for his room. On the fourteenth day, he laid down on his bed and took a deep breath. "It's done. Now all that I have to do is build the VR system."
He had one corner of his room reserved solely for his VR system. When he finished it the next day, it consisted of four things. There was a large roller ball built into the floor that was used for walking (using the same principal as a mouse except the fact that you stand on it), railing that goes all around the ball (to hold on to when you are setting up the system), a suit with many cables attached to it (for detailed movement scanning), and a helmet that gives you a 360 degree view of the surrounding virtual area (and, naturally, it has a microphone and earphones). It had cables that you used to hook it up to your computer and was not compatible with dial-up internet, only high-speed. The first time you loaded the program, it would ask you to design your character.
Wayde booted the program and created his character. It had anime-type emerald-colored hair (kind of spiked but different), it wore tan-colored slacks, it wore a black tee shirt, and otherwise looked exactly like the real Wayde.
"Everything's ready." said Wayde, putting on his virtual suit. "Initiate program."
"Initiating program." said a voice from the computer. "Virtual systems ready. Transfer sequence ready."
"Begin transfer." said Wayde.
"Transfering." said the computer. Wayde saw a loading bar, then the virtual world appeared around him. It was exactly as he had created it. It looked like a crystal cave with the walls coated in amythest. It had small bunches or crystal growing here and there and a big fountain in the middle of the room. It was the recreational area that he was currently standing in. It was a large room about the size of six football fields with big doors leading into many different hallways. One of them, Wayde knew, lead into the colosseum, the area where all battles were to be held, whether to settle disputes or for pure sport. He explored it first.
"Wow, so this is what it's like to fly." Wayde said to himself, lifting off of the ground and soaring through the air. "Oh, I almost forgot." He drew a large sword from the sheath on his back and swung it around a bit. "Mega Flash!!" he yelled, and a blinding light flared from his sword, which was named the Flash Tiger (I wonder why). He tried a few more of the attacks he had designed. Like Crystal Laser, for example, which fires a purple crystal-like laser from his hand and can cut through almost anything. Or Miniemeralds, with which Wayde throws a few little emeralds on the ground and can be blown up at will.
"It's perfect." he said as his sense of reality returned to him. He sat down on his bed.
"Was it as good as you thought it would be?" said Nan when Wayde emerged from his room thirty minutes later.
"Oh yeah. In fact, I'm gonna start advertising it on the internet right now." grinned Wayde as he ran for his room yet again. He sat there advertising all over the internet. After an hour, it was shown on every site on the internet. He even turned it into a pop-up at one time or another. He made his own low-budget but extrordinarily effective commercial to be shown on about one hundred different channels. By that evening, UltimaOne, the virtual world, was known by everyone who owned a computer and many more. The next day after school, Wayde checked the system. There were now more than 50,000,000 members and the number was going up by the second. He was even recieving donations from members of the site to improve on the system.
Naturally, three weeks later he had bought three more hard drives and marketed his VR system. There were now many people who were, as Wayde would say, VRin' it. It was the most popular thing to hit the country since anime. Wayde walked into the colosseum and watched a battle between a couple of guys that he remembered seeing at the arcade.
"Hey," said Wayde when the battle had ended, "who wants to challenge me?"
There was a large gasp from the audience as he walked out into the arena. A man stepped forward, drawing his sword.
"Fine then." he smirked, then drew the long, black Flash Tiger, "Battle routine set."
"Begin." said the announcer. Wayde jumped, barely avoiding the man's first attack. The man disappeared. Wayde looked around, suspiciously, wondering why the man had already aquired the "teleport" technique when he himself hadn't. Thwap! Wayde recieved a roundhouse kick in the stomach, as if from nowhere.
"Hurricane wind!" Wayde yelled, summoning a large gust of wind that knocked his opponent against the wall.
"Ice blade!" shouted the man, swinging his sword and releasing a large, icy, cresent-moon shaped blast from his sword. Wayde flew straight downward, narrowly avoiding an icy defeat.
"Try this on for size," said Wayde, raising his sword high in the air, "Mega flash!!!"
A blinding light was unleashed from his sword. The man fell to the ground, blinded by it. Then Wayde flew into the ground at top speed and pierced the man's body. The man turned to a white grid, then vanished, back into the real world.
