In the depths of my heart, I still cannot understand why one person would deliberately hurt another in such a way. "Going out", "breaking up". It's such a terrible cycle. There doesn't seem to be any way to win. Perhaps that's the genius of it all....the fact that there is no answer. I shall have to ponder this more...
