Today I tried to get as much of that work done as possible in class because I can't do it on the computer at home. I stayed during the next class too. I wish I could have stayed during the whole next class but I had to leave at noon to meet with my group for a project for another class. So I left and went to the library to wait for them. I'd gotten a text message while I was in class from one of them letting me know she'd be there. I played around on my computer while waiting for her. She got there and we started talking about the project while waiting for the other member of the group. After a few minutes when she didn't show up I tried to call her but there was something wrong with her phone. I am so sick of people who have something wrong with their phone. I cannot tell you how sick I am of it. I don't understand, first of all, how someone can give you a number and expect you to be able to call them and not know there is something wrong. As it is she had told me she couldn't make calls from it, only receive calls. That in itself makes no sense whatsoever. Then the fact that she has no voicemail, which really annoys the hell out of me. People need to be able to receive messages. I would never get a phone that couldn't do something as simple as that. And the phone had a weird area code that wasn't even local. It's a good thing I don't have long distance charges with my cell phone or I wouldn't even bother calling numbers like that. Well I figured by then with her phone being unreliable that she was probably the same way. She never showed up. Last time I had one of these group projects, someone's email address didn't work, basically the same problem, no way to send her anything. Thing is, when I discovered this, she was sitting right next to me and I tried to tell her and she acted like there was nothing wrong with it when she clearly didn't receive my email. Again she was a really unreliable person. I don't know why it's so hard for people to not notice when things like this don't work. But anyway, at least the two of us were able to get some stuff done. We chose a topic and discussed it and decided what parts of the project we'll each do, deciding to stick the hard part on the girl who didn't show up. After all she wasn't there to decide for herself and I really don't want to do the hard part. I just hope she can handle it. At least I know this girl checks her email, and she has two cell phones even. So if I need to let her know about anything I can probably contact her. We're just going to have to tell the other girl what we decided on in class.
