I don't remember the exact wording of the story, but it was basically something along the lines of: "Having finally broken the chains binding him to his dismal fate, Payne sets out on a journey to find his new destiny. Though he is surrounded by fantastic creatures, he is still alone. With nothing to guide him but but a book given to him long ago, he searches the cosmos, hoping that he may someday find that one person who can truly understand him."
Or something like that.
