About Wolverine. . .
- Real Name: Logan
- Powers: Wolverine's skeleton is laced with adamantium, a virtually unbreakable metal. He has retractable adamantium claws, and healing powers. He is short, feisty, and quick, like his namesake.
- Background: Heather and James Macdonald found Logan lying by the side of the road. They took him in and brought him up, enduring, and trying to cure his bouts of beserker rage. James, who was a Canadian government agent, brought Logan into the program. Presumably, (depending on which story line you read), it was the government who put adamantium into Wolverine. For a time, he was a soldier in the Canadian army, then he was a Canadian secret agent. Then, Professor X came and offered him a position on the X-Men. Wolverine accepted, resigning from Department H (or X, once again, depends on the storyline you've read). This caused some tangles with the government later.
Wolverine was an X-Man for a very long time, with many adventures and misadventures, periods of time when he got his beserker rages under control, and times when he didn't. He fell in love with Mariko Yashida, a Japanese woman of noble blood. He had a duel with her father, which eventually forced him to bring the "animal inside" under control to win. Later, he had to release it again, to defeat another opponent. However, that's a story for someone who knows EVEN MORE about him then me. eek
Where He is Now: Wolverine is still an X-Man, indeed he has been one of the most consistent members since the formation of the new team. He has grown from a new, unsteady, upstart to a leading figure, an old pro.
