About Storm. . .
-Real Name: Ororo Munroe
-Powers: Storm controls the elements; the weather.
- Background: Storm's mother was an African princess, her father an American journalist. When they were living in Africa, a plane crashed into their house. Ororo's mother and father died, leaving her, at around age four, to roam the streets of Cairo. She became a pick pocket, and an excellent lock pick. Then she set off over the desert, searching for something, she wasn't sure what. Eventually she discovered her powers, and became a "goddess" in Kenya, where she had a temple, and helped the locals with droughts, and other weather problems. However, Professor X came to ask her to help him save the original X-Men, and she agreed.
Ororo was an X-Man, and she had to question fundamental parts of herself. She had sworn never to kill, but being an X-Man was a fine line. She eventually became team leader, and was under great pressure. She was unsure of who she truly was, what her role was, Goddess or X-Man. Eventually she cut her long, white hair into a mohawk, and gained a rougher, edgier style, with leather clothes, and a more punk look. (In other words, she had a mid-life crisis, X-Man style).
Then, while the government was shooting at Rogue, Storm was shot by mistake. However, it was no ordinary gun, but a gun designed to rob mutants of their powers.
This only made Ororo more unsure of herself, and who she was, and almost drove her to the point of suicide. Eventually, she began to recover, but she is still shaky.
Where She is Now: Ororo is still an X-Woman, when last checked, although she has periods when she leaves, trying to find answers about herself. She cannot benefit the team on a fighting front, as her powers are gone.
