Heart Ends the Soul
The heart drips slowly
Slipping into the darkness that surrounds us
Everyone asks what is wrong
But all you say is nothing
That one sorrowful remark
Allows the darkness to seep deeper into the heart
And stalks me always in shadow
Never there but always present
The soul slips fast the heart has died
And starts once again
Thus the heart ends the soul
For the soul to fail the heart must die
The heart drips slowly
Slipping into the darkness that surrounds us
Everyone asks what is wrong
But all you say is nothing
That one sorrowful remark
Allows the darkness to seep deeper into the heart
And stalks me always in shadow
Never there but always present
The soul slips fast the heart has died
And starts once again
Thus the heart ends the soul
For the soul to fail the heart must die
