Jessina: (I can't believe i'm finally out of there. No more "Jessina do this, Jessina don't do that", no more poofy dresses and tiaras, no more anything....)
She sighed in relief.
Jessina: (But I can't start thinking like this yet. I have go get my sis out of the country before....)
She didn't even want to let the thought cross her mind.
Jessina: (I just hope I can find her soon before it's too late....)
King William: WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S GONE!
Aidan: I took her for a walk outside the palace and she ran. The gate keeper must have been on a coffee break at the time because she just climbed right over and no one stopped her.
King William: THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! HOW THE HELL....!
Aidan: I know how you feel, your majesty. I truly wanted to marry your daughter. However, now it seems that my wish will not be fulfilled...
Aderas: Good. Then I will have a partner to track them with.
The western prince had sauntered into the king's study, dressed in a red and black military uniform, the same kind (save for a few extra shining badges and medals) worn by his Western Kingdom.
Aidan: No...I...I couldn't...
Aderas: But I thought you said you wanted to marry her...
Aidan: There are more fish in the sea. I'm sure I'll be perfectly fine with someone else. God made her leave; God doesn't want us to be together. Therefore, I shall look for someone else.
Aderas groaned as he leaned against the wall.
King William: I'm trusting you, Aderas. Bring back my girls. You will have Lissabelle's hand once she is home, and the two of you will rule the Northern and Western kingdoms together after my passing...If you bring back my girls.
Aderas: You have my word.
Jessina slowed her steps as she approached a lit tent with a man slouching in a chair outside it. He had an unlabeled jug in his arm, which was dragging to the ground, spilling nearly all of the bottle's contents. His glassy eyes seemed to be pointing in every direction and his light brown hair was frizzy and tangled.
Brad: Oi.... It's the Princess....
His speech was slurred and though he spoke, nothing moved but his lips.
Brad: It's a pleasure, your majesty...
At this point, he began laughing hysterically, then stopped suddenly as a second man came out of the tent, his green eyes drowsy and his wave of black hair was matted from his pillow.
Brad: Look, Chase... It's her majesty!
Chase: Oh not again...
He drew out his longsword and began to step toward the two of them.
Jessina: Ah!
Instinctively, as soon as she saw the glimmering blade, the princess grabbed the daggers from her pockets and thrusted them toward her opponant, who blocked them just before she could make contact with his tan skin.
Chase: The hell...?
Jessina: Shut up!
She pulled back her daggers and aimed lower this time, just missing his torso as he swiftly jumped backwards, swinging his sword back at her and knocking one of the knives from her hand and causing it to sail through the air until it was far out of her reach.
Jessina: How did...?
He only grinned conceitedly, then swung his sword once more, this time making contact with her finger, causing her to drop the knife as it started to bleed.
Jessina: Ahh!
She took her finger into her other hand and felt the warm blood rushing from the wound. She knew that it wasn't major, but it still hurt enough to slow her down.
Chase: Now....
He groaned in a deep, masculine voice as he approached the girl, his sword pointed directly at her neck.
Chase: Why did you start to attack me?
The blade made contact with her throat, causing her to step backwards until her back met with the tree behind her.
Jessina: You drew your sword first! Why are you blaming me?
Chase: I meant you no harm.
Jessina: Then why'd you pull out your sword, huh?
He rolled his eyes and pulled back his sword, taking a few steps back until he was to the side of the drunken man, then raised the blade and knocked the man over the head with the handle, rendering him unconcious.
Chase: I apologize for his crudeness. Every time he gets drunk, he thinks every woman he sees is a princess. I was going to knock him out so he would get some rest.
Jessina: Did you have to do it so violently?
Chase: Got any other bright ideas, Cupcake?
Jessina: CUPCAKE!?!?! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?
Chase: Well, I think I'm Chase Kirk. Who do you think you are?
Jessina: I think I'm the kind of girl you don't want to be messing with!
Chase: Judging by that little altercation back there, I don't think I have anything to worry about.
Steam seemed to be rising from the princess's head.
Jessina: (He beats me in a duel, calls me CUPCAKE, then pretty much calls me weak? Oh this isn't over... He'll see...)
Chase: Now if you'd like, I can offer to patch up that little cut on your finger. Then maybe I can call your mommy so she can kiss it and make it feel better.
Jessina: THAT'S IT! PUT EM UP! I DON'T NEED MY KNIVES! I CAN TAKE YOU RIGHT NOW! BRING IT ON!
She charged over to him and started throwing punches, none of which made contact.
Jessina: Huh?
It took her a few seconds to realize that he had his hand on her head, holding her out at a distance too far from his body to cause any damage.
Chase: Ugh... Let me just get you bandaged so you can leave already...
He flipped her around with the one hand he had placed on her head and pulled her into the tent by the ponytail as she crossed her arms, still in shock because...
Jessina: (I can't believe it... I've been beaten....)
