I was poking around the manga forum the other night. It seems every time I go there someone is whining about how much manga costs. GET OVER IT. They're never going to get it at the $4 cost of Japan. Why? It costs money to translate something morons! To print it, to market it, to get people to translate it. Japanese most definitely does not translate itself.
Hey, let's not mention that I used to have to pay $16 for a volume of Inuyasha which is now $9. NINE DOLLARS!!! You have no clue how pissed I was when they did that. NO IDEA. Bastards. Same with Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, and all the others. They b***h and moan about $7 to $11. Wah, wah, wah.
Not to mention that Waldenbooks is selling JAPANESE manga untranslated for $12 each. They had Watsuki Nobuhiro's new series (I don't know what it's called. I could tell it was his by the art.), and Spiral. Those were the only two I recognised. The others kinda freaked me out.
Ooh, ooh, know what I want?!
Gravitation volumes 11 and 12. whee
And, sadly, I desperately need to catch up on Kenshin and Furuba. But at least I've read all of Kenshin already!! Eat that you half-assed little think you know it all fans! I just love when people argue with me about Kenshin. Kenshin... my obsession for at least five years now. I've seen all of the anime repeatedly. Read all of the manga, repeatedly. Even read the history the series is based on! I've seen all of the OAVs. Tsuioku Hen AND Seisou Hen. I EVEN SAW THE CRAPPY MOVIE! scream
Grrr, the Toonami/Adult Swim fans of Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha really piss me off. I'm sad that Toonami's got its nasty little hooks in poor Naruto.
geez, angry post
