Evening, Journal. It's only been half an hour since I came back from school, but I might as well recount the event now when it's still fresh.
6th Round, 5 matches - that was where I was before 1:10pm today. My sixth match would be, surprisingly, against Alex. Everyone said that I would win and, to be honest, I thought so as well. Against all predictions, I lost. I'm the girl with the highest points in chess, and I lost. Everyone thought I would win, so what happens next? - they said that I gave Alex a chance, considering that I won't be here next week for my seventh anyway. Everyone believed so.. even Alex. That's a problem.
I told him, on our way to the English corridor, that he won me fair and square without me giving any chances. True, I might not have played as well as I should have, and I was being rather overconfident, but what next? I did not allow him to win deliberately. He didn't believe me. Instead, he said "Oh, now that you say it that way, I'm convinced that you gave me a chance. I know you too well, you know.."
I turned to the right, he walked off. We didn't exchange glances afterwards and I think he's rather angry at me. The problem is that there was something I had to tell him tonight.. and with him being rather angry to me, I won't get the chance. I wonder what will happen after this. I won't see him tomorrow.. maybe I'll use the time to talk it out with Mr. Case and think about it thoroughly.
