One of my many somewhat radical theories is that the media preconditions us at a youg age. When i walk down the street do you see stick figure georgous models, i know i don't.
Sure some people are naturaly skinny and pritty, i know that because I am skinny just by nature, but the point i'm trying to get at is that the image of beauty set out by the media is unatainable. Because of computers and the recent advances in photo-shop we are now able to make average people look more than picture perfect. Some agencies even go as far as using different models to achive the "perfect" woman.
What does that have to do with being preconditioned to want to look perfect you may ask, well the fact that at a young age we have ads telling us that to be beautiful you must be like that models in the picture otherwise you are just arn't pritty. I don't like to use the word "UGLY" because there is no such thing. Anyway so we have the media telling us whats beautiful and there is no such thing because the models in the photos aren't even that way they were photo-shopped !!!!!.
Personally i think that the models should sighn a contract so that thier photos can't be used with other body parts of other models so the public can see what true beauty is. The public needs to be aware that beauty is somthing all of us possess!!!!!
So every time you pick up a magazine and think she is so pritty i wish i looked like her. Realize that what you asking is not possible and think about a good point about yourself, and it takes time but i have done it for a few weeks now and i am starting to relize that i am thinking more highly of myself.
