ahhh county spelling bee today. I was soo excited. All the words were SOOO EASY!!! until the 3rd round. Igreadous. (probably spelled it wrong there too.. egregous?) That was my word. Before me was antibiotics. I knew that word. I knew all the words. ALL OF THEM. Except igreadous. I got it wrong. I ran off the stage sobbing my eyes out. It was pretty embarrasing... sweatdrop But I went to Starbucks and got a Java Chip frappucino and a cookie afterwards. Almost made me feel bettter.
The pronouncer SUCKED. He was Canadian and had an accent. He didn't talk clearly. I'm not just trying to blame someone else for not winning.. I swear. I could tell something was wrong right when he said, "I'll be the pronouncer for today's spelling bee." It sounded like, "dsgm;flgrytr[pfg;'f" or something. No joke. Everyone in the audience was talking about how terrible he was. Seriously. Like, at least 90% of the people who got out got out because of his lameness. You know how you say "anchovy" as "AN-choh-vee"? He said (very not clearly) "AHN-chuh-veh". Does AHN-chuh-veh sound like "AN-choh-vee"? Say it. Out loud. Now. You'll see what I mean.
