"You're still mine. Don't forget that,"

"Hmph," His gaze returned to you, "Don't worry, ______. He won't be able to touch you with Hinata and I around," Hinata nodded in agreement.

"Hey- m-maybe we should start h-heading back toward your house," Hinata suggested.

So you left the mall.

It was still too early to go straight home. So you took the route through the park. Hinata tried to make sure you were next to Shino at all times. She tried being subtle and failed miserably, often at your expense. When you sat down to rest Shino suddenly disappeared from your side.

"Hey, where'd he go?" You asked Hinata.

She smiled, "D-don't worry. He does that sometimes. But he'll be back because he really does like you. I know it,"

Suddenly someone grabbed your arm.

"Toshi?" You yanked your arm away from him and stood up, "What do you want?"

He grabbed your arm again, "You're coming with me,"

"No," You said bravely.

This infuriated him. He slapped you across the face. You didn't have time to recover before his fist connected with your shoulder. You cried out in pain.

Hinata seemed frozen in fear, "Sh-Shino!" She shrieked.

A low roar filled the air then. Small bugs floated past you to land on Toshi. They engulfed him in under a minute.

"What are these things?" He cried. Then he began to scream in agony and tearing at the bugs. But there were too many. He grabbed onto your shirt and pulled you to the ground. You could feel the insects crawling in your clothes and hair. You groaned and shut your eyes and it felt like the ground shifted beneath you.

"______!" Someone was running toward you. The ground shifted again. Your eyes shot open. You realized you were laying on your back on the ground.

"Shino?" You looked up at the figure above you.

You shuddered at the small creatures that were still crawling on your body. Shino looked you over for a moment. Then, as if suddenly knowing, he said, "You're going to be okay,"

Then the ground disappeared from beneath you. It seemed it couldn't make up its mind!

Wait. Is Shino carrying me? You leaned against his chest, noting that his heart was racing.

Back at your house, you layed on the couch while Shino watched over you. You were laying with your back to him. He was neiled next to the couch on the floor. You could feel his eyes on your back. Then you felt him sit next to you and wrap his arms around you. You felt his breath on the back of your neck when he said, "I'm sorry,"

"For what?" You asked.

"I said that as long as we were with you he wouldn't be able to touch you,"

"Oh," You were taken aback, "Don't worry about it. You couldn't have known he was gonna sneak up on us like that,"

His arms got tighter around you. You snuggled closer. He nuzzled into your neck. Your heart pounded wildly.

"______, ARE YOU OKAY?!" Kiba popped up over the side of the couch. Shino jumped up off you and fell on the floor. You did a very good Hinata impression.

"Uh- Am I interupting something? Sorry," Kiba appologized.

"Kiba don't go in, they're-!" Hinata stopped, "Oh- I guess you already know,"

"Hmph," Shino stood up, turned around, and left through the back door.
