Swift Crow's Arcanum..
The lives of many are written here... you can find their thoughts and writings.. (Here I will be putting character bios, poetry, and even a few story/rps))
Stitches
Little Eric
Born of Stitches,
Little puppy
Formed of patches.

Your coat,
Lethargic dusty grey
And tattered faded white,

Your coal black eye still shiny
Like a window into night.
And where has the other gone?
Long lost down some unfaithful road.

A small pink tongue
Like a defiant flag,
Taunting, sneering
Yet unmoving,
Stitched in silence
The perfect silence
To keep my secrets,
To keep her secrets.

Sheltering you within her arms
Though small,
Two unfailing bands of iron.
You return unshaken loyalty
Firm protection of a guardian.

Smells like me, or rather her,
Of sweat and tears
Even spit,
Your leather ears long chewed upon
To ragged dissymmetry.

Little Eric
Born of Stitches,
Little puppy
Formed of patches.

I was empty
Yet I formed you,
You filled the space
between my thoughts.

You and the children of my memory,
Children of my pen
My brush.

Yes You are MINE
My little Eric.
Cloth and heart
Soul and stitch.

Hi! This has a feeling of emotional impact to me, although I wish I knew more clearly what it is about. Is this a stuffed animal you are describing? And based on the mention of pen and brush, I gather it is a stitched version of a character you invented. I want to read it a time or two more. It looks like you have a knack for poetry.

I just re-read it. Often I have a hard time understanding something, especially a poem, on first reading, and I see this was the case here. It is clear now that this is indeed a stuffed dog that a child once loved, although who that child was is not known. Is it yourself? And instead of the invention I was thinking, it looks like you were referring to memories and saying that they had become the children of your pen and brush because their reality is no longer with you. Got it right now? I like your detailed descriptions.

Actually Carletta, you had it ppretty close to right the first time, eric is a character from an RP I'm in and is also a stuffed animal, and child who owns him is another of my characters ^^;; The children of my pen and brush is a reference to my creativity, writing, sketch, and role play.
