Smile Like I Used to
Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever truly smile again.
If the pain will really ever leave me and lessen the weight upon my shoulders.
Sometimes I can't really point why the pain's there, but I never forget that it is.
It's ruined my smile.
All I've left are my futile attempts to merely stretch the skin around my mouth in an awkward grin.
Since when is smiling supposed to be such an effort?
Since when should a person need to force themself to smile and laugh?
That weight that anchors me to a heavy tranquility steals from me, my smile, my laughter...my true happiness.

Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last.-Irish proverb
This is my statement: If you plan to lie to me, leave me the he** alone!
