We were young and free. We could just pretend to be anything we wanted, but we matured over time. The good old elementary days are over and we are forced to be rational. What if I don't want to be? What if I want to be that little girl again? The one who's biggest problem was if her friends were in a fight? Where did she go? She couldn't possibly still be inside me...the one forced to rationallize everything. Taking down other people's spirits with her because she was forced into reallity to soon. So soon she barely remembers playing on playgrounds, falling down, and even her own mother. That's the worst part of growing up, you forget all the things you really want to remember because the world wants you to remember their "facts" that will prepare you for "life," but what is life? What is life when you forget who you were, who you are, and what you really want to be? What is life when you know that if you aren't even close to perfection, you'll get thrown out, just like the rest? It's like a factory, things must be perfect at a quick glance, every product must look the same. However, upon closer expection, you will see the small flaws that build up, making ever product unique in it's own way. Everyone wants to pass the expection because they want the overlooks to butt out of their lifes. We're watched for so long, that when we do pass their requirements, we are too much like them. We are like drones, almost made exactly to their liking. Only a few variations prevent us from becoming their robots. We have a backbone though, and will not be swayed easily.
