Journey of a Ronin
The thoughts, musings, insanity and rants of a wandering warrior. A self professed student/artist/dreamer/anarchist, riding the waves to find my place in the world.
Nothing like a shitty job...
...to motivate you to get a better one. It's not the job from hell, but it is making me think about looking for a job that's related to what I'm studying. I've been combing through the websites for Canadian National Parks, because I really would like to enjoy my work again like I did at my old job.

My very first job was at a furniture store at a cleaning lady. My mom worked as a receptionist there while I cleaned displays and furniture. It was strenous, I had to lift heavy water to mop and the vaccum was ancient and heavy, but the salespeople were nice to me. Also vaccumed places that hadn't been vaccumed in ages and were full of dead bugs, it was nasty. I had to work every other day during the day, so it was only for summer though, since I had to go back to high school.

Before I was cashier, I worked at an animal hospital. Everyone thinks it's a fun job and I play with the animals all day. Yeah right. Most of the time I was cleaning some nasty s**t up (literally), but I also fed the animals and walked the dogs, helped give medicine and move the animals, had to fetch stuff for the vets. I had to leave because the hours were horrible and I needed more time to study, but I really loved the job and wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Sometimes wish I could go back, but I hated the hours.

Note to self: Finish getting driver's lisence, learn CPR. Try to learn French too (I speak a little, but not much). Hopefully, these will help me find a job in the future.

As for class, I have an organic chem lab. My friend said the labs are a breeze, so I'm not too worried about it. What I am worried about is how I'll do in my midterm for it. I'm thinking if it doesn't go well, I'll drop it as a last resort, I'm falling behind on my studying of it. I need the data from my ecology field lab too, gotta e-mail my friend tommorow if it's not in my inbox by nightfall.

I finally got around to asking Dixon to borrow some of his anime DVDs to burn for myself. I gave him a list of what I wanted from his collection and he said he would get around to getting the DVDs later on.

Also got some more ideas for my book. I wanna write a good book about an Orweillen society, but I want to make it an entertaining read at the same time. I have it planned out in terms of the political and social structure, but I don't know how long until I actually sit down and write it because I don't have a name for the characters, don't know what kind of personalities they will have and a very rough basic plot I hope to add more to.

Well, checking out jobs to apply for now. Geez, what did I ever do before the internet came along? Just gotta e-mail my resume out and fill in online applications and hope someone will call. Life is good.
