My trench coat is wearing out... *sniff*
Yes, I have a trench coat. For those misguided individuals out there reading this, it's not because I'm goth, or an emo eek *shudder*, or a vampire, or a Neo biter, it's just because I have always and will always like long Victorian coats. So pike off, ye clueless berks.
For the open minded readers, well, sorry for the disclaimer against stupidness. Yes, I just said stupidness. I like the word. Not stupidity, stupidness.
But anyway, the trench is wearing out. Buttons have popped off, and the beautiful heavy black fabric is fading to an odd s**t-stained hue...
...and the place I bought it from no longer sells trench coats. Something about selling to shopping mall clientele and promoting aggressive fashions... they're trying to get trench coats banned from the mall my bookstore is in...
BUT! I looked online for the trench coat to see if I could buy a new one for myself (and I found 'em, too; it's www.redballs.com), but the price on the coat I wear -- The Ripper, it's called -- is a hefty $99.
That doesn't include the shipping and handling charges. By the time all that's done, PayPal is asking me for $113.
Ouch. Sorry, trench coat, but you'll just have to wear a little thinner for a while...
...Ach! I need money. Don't we all.
