Alrighty everybody. Raise your hand if you hate stupid people that, first, put a label on you, and, second, put you down because of this label bestowed upon you?
All of you? Really? Well, that's what I thought.
I happened to stumble upon a little website called www.godhatesgoths.com the other day, and had the pleasure of reading all about what a little corner of my Christian community around the world thinks about the Gothic subculture and Goths themselves. Apparently all Goths are potential terrorists and are the Devils children. Yes, Goths are "the whorish dressing deviants that poison our world, the depressed kids who cut themselves and think its right, the abusive skaters, the long haired satanists, wiccan devil worshippers, the nazi kids who shoot their classmates for amuzment. All obsessed with death and the darker side of life and listen to similar musics." Yep. And this, so they say, is a Christian organization.
You know what? If they're Christian, than they should already know that God made every single one of us, and he made us beautifully and wonderfully and he loves us just the way we are. And who are they to make the very broad and intense statement of God hating...anything. Not just Goths.
How would they feel if we said that God hates preps? Or dogs? Or Wal-mart? You know what they would say? They would say that, since we're Goth, we're trying to brainwash everyone into thinking that God really hates these things. These people obviously aren't going to get one little thing that has to do with the Gothic subculture slip by everyone unnoticed and unanounced. Why should we let them get away with what they are doing and saying everyday? That Goths are terrorists. Nazi's. Vampires. Killers. It's sick and it's not right right.
So... now that you've been so wonderfully enlightened on this subject, how would you like to let them know what we think? Hate-mail, you say? I think not, young grasshopper! Sending them petty hate-mail will only backup all of the awful and totally untrue things they say.
So... if you want to let them know exactly how you feel about them, there beliefs, and there so-called 'Christian organization' please write up an email that you wish to send them, and foreward it to me either on Gaia, or, if you know my email address, then send it to my regular address. Together we can fight the sickness. lol. (If you don't get it, you obviously haven't looked at the website yet. Well? What are you waiting for? Go!)
