In the middle of a stale steril hospital room was a bed with crisp linens covering the sleeping body of a young, pretty, woman. her left arm was in a cast, her dark-haired head was wrapped in bandages, her eyes shift back and forth under closed lids. Her right arm had lines of blood and nutrients stuck into it. a machine bleeped steadily off to her left, attached to her body by a mass of cords. She haden't moved in weeks, not since she got there. doctors said that there was a chance she wouldn't be normal if she ever woke again.

A nurse stepped into the room, picking up the girls chart, making a note of the machine. As she turned to step out the machine started beating just a bit faster. she turned back to look at the girl, watching as her eyes opened, revealing blue grey depths.

"Oh, Adalade, your awake."

"who?"

"You, your awake. Good, it lookes like the boys here."

"wha?"

"Ady?" a sandy haired young man stood in the doorway of her room. "You awake?"

"I'll leave the two of you alone here..." the nurse said steping out. the boy's eyes watched her as he held himself still in utter silence untill the door closed securly behind the woman.

"I had myself convinced you wouldn't wake up. I came here every day hoping, pleading, I almost went back to being a full angel for you."

"Who?" she sat up in the bed looking at the tubes in her arms and the cast on her arm. "An angel? right..."
