A Maiden

I open my sorrowful eyes only to see darkness
From those who flood the area with their grim harshness
I search and search for something more
I don’t know what this journey is for
I think to myself realizing
I’ve come across a beautiful pond
With a maiden floating on
Dead or alive I cannot tell as I walk closer to this Being surrounded by light
I feel myself being pulled away from hatred and fright
my eyes are reopened
To the world of happiness and love
As the young maiden turns into a dove
I pick her up and walk away this is the way I am going to stay
