"Where is my concubine?"

The young prince paced through the green, warm courtyard and stamped into the gazebo. His bare feet were burned by sun-baked brick walkway, and the cool wooden floor of the gazebo, concealed in the shade, was relaxing. He paused, dipping his thin neck to glance beneath the black benches.
"Where could she be hiding... ," he murmured under his breath, satisfied that the thief was not under the furniture. The prince had a tired look in his glassy green eyes, the noble visage worn from search. The carefully trimmed nails of his toes showed slight abuse from countless sprints across paved paths. Sighing with defeat, he sat heavily onto the bench. Above him was the ivy-laden canopy of the gazebo, a house of numerous chattering birds.
He closed his eyes and rested in the mid-afternoon stagnancy. The more appealing features of his youthful face slowly eased into his muscles as the stress was taken away by the birdsong. Sunlight splattered across the loose, lightly decorated garment that clung to his slender legs. His gentle hands bore small tattoos that bore the likeliness of rings.
