Imagine you were a king, and through little or no fault of your own, your kingdom collapsed into anarchy.
Imagine you escaped into another safer nation. Where you were a close confidante of the king. But, you saw the exact same events that heralded the collapse of your nation. All the things that caused you strife, grief and sadness. Imagine there was nothing you could do.
