Journey of a Ronin
The thoughts, musings, insanity and rants of a wandering warrior. A self professed student/artist/dreamer/anarchist, riding the waves to find my place in the world.
Doing squat right now...
But it's all good. Had a huge presentation and 2 quizzes this week. Anid I'm all done for now. I should be studying stats and community ecology and environmental biology (yes, that's all one course, more or less plant physiology revisited). I've been feeling sick since the weekend, and my illness peaked on Monday when I had to present. My friends said I did fine, but personally I just wanted to go home and lie down throughout the presentation. I slept like the dead that night, on Tuesday I barely made it through the day then lay down for 3 hours before dinner, then promptly going to bed and falling asleep again. I'm almost back to normal now, thank goodness. My presentation and quiz from Tuesday went well, so I'm feeling optimistic about the last one.

At my job at the Animal Hospital, things are pretty quiet. Few dogs or cats boarding, though the vets have had lots of appointments.

Nothing really new on Gaia for me. The guilds I'm in are rather quiet and I haven't had much time to practice drawing with school and all. I managed to get the guppy caps and green bass helm, I'm working on the brown bass helm and stripers right now, then I'll eventually move on to the other bodies of water. I hope to upgrade my performance rod in the future when I have gold.

On a more serious note, here's some articles you may find interesting if you've actually been paying attention to the news. Being Canadian, we happen to be vary aware of what goes on in the U.S., the it's never really vice versa unless it's a matter of getting cheap drugs. An article by one person on how the U.S. really isn't #1 on a whole lot of fronts.

I expect he will probably get lots of letter bombs in the future. Here's another opinion piece on what a lot of us already think. Yeah, truth justice and the American way are great, it should just apply to the world in foreign policy and not just in the U.S.

Also, a charming picture from Kentucky. Some redneck's truck whose entire backside has been pasted with anti-Arab slogans.

Personally, I doubt the U.S. will suddenly implode in on itself. It'll kind of just quietly slip to the back in terms of global power as China and Japan continue to buy their debt, more foreign students choose other places to attend higher learning, more markets switch to euros as standard currency and as Canada's standard of living continues to do well. Proving that you don't do well in the world by being a bully, but rather a friend, or at least sneaky.
