Well, I've pulled myself out of the forums before my brain finally atrophies altogether. The sheer stupidity prevalent at this time makes my mind hurt!
I cannot believe for one moment that there can be any "good" in so many jaded, cynical teenagers. I could understand being this way at the age of seventy after seeing two world wars, for example...but not at 15 when the world has been as stable as it can be (American jaunts into various places to shoot people armed with rocks notwithstanding). It saddens me that so many have allowed themselves to be completely brainwashed that they are incapable of thinking for themselves...That they cannot even bear to hear a word against what they have been indoctrinated with and get so...hostile when someone opens up a discussion on how things COULD be different.
There is a problem, a loudly ticking time bomb. They are it and they don't even know it. It's all quite, quite sad.
And no, I am not about to point the finger, but there ARE specific groups of youngsters a lot more prone to this than others. I will watch from the sidelines. There's just no talking to some people. sad
