Nihongo - Japanese Language
Hai - yes, okae, sure
Iie - No.
Chigaou - No, that's wrong. (more commonly used that Iie)
Tabun - Maybe
Sugoi - Awesome
Wakatta - I understood/ understand
Wakaranai- I don't get it/ understand it
Konnichiwa- Hello (remember this is pronounced like 'cone')
Ohayou! - Good morning
Konbanwa- Good afternoon
Sayonara - Good bye (only used if you don't plan on seeing that person again)
Jyamatane- See ya later
Jya'ne - See ya
Ano - Uhm


Okae! That was a few words that you might need in most random occasions. One word answers are my favorite responses EVER!
But let's say you're in Japan and someone starts talking to you. What can you say? Well, here's a good phrase to learn:
"Nihongo wakaranai."
Hey! You just learned those two words! What do they mean?

I bet you failed! MUA HA HA HA! It's not up to me that you to learn Japanese, you know. If you really want to learn it, earnestly, you'll write such words on flash cards and keep them in your pocket. Whenever you stand in line or wait for a ride, take them out and study them. It's how I learned all my kanji.
