I had a great time this Halloween, and my only major complaint is that it was too darn short! It fell on quite a busy week for me, and I didn't manage to enjoy it as fully as I wanted to. Got almost all of the items though - just missing that last trick-or-treat one gonk Anyone want to donate one to me?Speaking of items, they were pretty spiffy - I particularly like the alien probe xd Crazy! The others stand out less to me, but were still alright. I did really like that the new Jack items still go with the old ones, so its nice and easy to mix and match. I didn't really like the alien skin when I first saw it, but this outfit has kind of grown on me... maybe I'll keep it this way for a while whee I love that we can change to alien and back at will (and with a little gold) even after the event!
The probing and zapping was fantastic fun, reminiscent of Halloween 2004 but without the crazy lag that prevented me from participating! It was really nice to see people helping each other out rather than the elitism of last year, although there was a bit of upset~ness about 'cow stealing' before the admins upped the algorithm.
The story at the event itself was a bit disappointing compared to the leadup, I think... in previous years I seem to remember the updates still coming throughout events as the story progressed and came to a climax, whereas in this one it all came to a very inconclusive ending early on. Where did Ron Bruise disappear to? Why did Mother and Gambino hit it off so quickly? If there are friendly relations between aliens and humans, why the heck are we zapping and probing each other? And what did the poor cows ever do to us? I really wish they'd led in with an explanation to the backbone actions of the event.
Ah well, I managed to find one night free to do freebies - and it was crazy! My thread filled up so fast and reached 191 pages by the end! I was only able to do 6 chibis in the end, but everyone seemed pretty happy and I made a few new friends out of it ^_^
