Forlorn
I stand triumphant over a silken shed of unwanted tears,
Marking the destination points between
Our forever fleeting hearts;
You smile at me as you walk away
Alone
Into the shadows
Of misery you are so fond of.
Yet among the plethora of shattered dreams,
Recalling the way you gently kissed me,
I'm once again drawn
Into the dimness
Waiting for your return.
