Holy Wings - Ch.2 prt.2
It was night. Danny was sitting on a bench that was infront of the fountain, while hearing the sound of it to try to make him feel better, but it just reminded him of tears and sorrow. Danny's day was so close to great, but it just blown all because Helena needed to get home in thirty minutes.
"Who am I kidding", Danny said, looking down in depression. "I wasn't meant to have someone to love or to care about. Maybe I am supposed to be a loner in the future. Maybe I should just live in an apartment with a dog, a.k.a 'Man's Best Friend' ".
A few minutes later, Danny was still on the bench. He was starting to get off and just deal with his problems in his room, until he noticed Helena walking toward the bench that he was on. He was just looking at her, while not saying anything.
She sat by him, and Danny noticed that she didn't have her hair ribbon and she had bruises on her face. He was just starring at her, ready to ask the queshtion.
"Sooooooo," Danny said, looking in differnt directions. "What happend?".
She was smiling, while not looking at him. "Nothing".
"It looked like something happend".
"No, really, it is nothing".
"Are you sure?".
"Yes!", she started giggling. "It is seriously nothing".
"Okay...". Danny started to look down, not trying mind, but then he heard Helena sniffling a bit. He just thought her nose tickled, but a few seconds later, she started to hear crying. He looked at her, wide eyed.
She was trying to speak. "My...Dad", she was crying harder now. "He...He..".
Danny quickly went to her and held her shoulders. "Take a deep breath. Take your time".
She took a deep breath, which seemed to be hard for her, because of all the stress."...He came home from work...Drunk", she continued to sniff in her small, squirell noes. "I...I can't...I!". She laid her head on Danny's chest, crying manicly. He knew how she felt, he started to grow guilty on what she has to deal with everyday, probably. This was love, caring and helping a soul.
Danny rubbed the back of Helena's head, smiling. "It's okay...".
Helena smiled, still sniffing. "Thank you..."
He wanted to tell her, atleast once. She may have known right now, but she needs to see if it is true. He knew she need absolute proof.
"Helena..."
She took up her head, looking at Danny with red cheeks from the tears.
"I...Love-".
Instantly, the vision of everything was a blur. The sound of everything was a screatch. Danny got up, all coverd in bruises from the bomb shell that fell down on the fountain that he and Helena were right by. His vision may have been clear by now, but his ears were still blocked by the loud noise of the explosion. He could barely get up, for the only thing he saw were the the trees and the houses on the neighborhood, but he wanted to see more in the sky. So he got in pain from his sprained leg looked up into the sky, only to see thousands of bomb shells coming down upon the planet. They looked like shooting stars, for they were coming down from space.
He seen dark skies form, and not only were the bombs coming down, but also something else that was coming from the forming sky.
His ears became clear, and the only thing he heard were the screams from other people from far away and explosions from the bomb shells.
Danny was scared. He was trembling in fear from what is happening. He looked from his left to see if Helena was there. She saw her on the floor, unconsious. He limped to her and picked up her whole body.
"I promise, we will get through this.", he said to Helena, still unconsious.
Danny was confused on where to go, but he needed to move fast, since the dark clouds were getting closer to him. He just ran forward, while struggling with a seventy pound person in his hands and a wounded leg. For that, he wasn't able to go as fast as he always did in gym. He was like a three-hundred pound chimp, running at maximum speed which was like walking.
The clouds beat him in the race. Danny stopped as he started to look up, seeing the wierd objects coming down like arrows. He quickly jumped back to dodge one of the objects and he stopped worrying about them blowing up, since they weren't. But instead of that, steam was coming out of the pods.
"Just like my dream..."
The reptilie creatures started to comeout. They weren't in fancy jewlery or capes, but they had humungus muscles on their chest, arms, and very wide wings. They were roaring at Danny to scare him or paralyze him. It didn't do any effect, but he was scared in a trembling way.
"My God...What the Hell are you people?", he was in astonishment, but he still had fear in his body. He could not stand normal because his legs were so shakey.
They spoke in deep, yet, creepy voices that would make a turtel go back into its shell,"We are the plague. We are the sickness that will spread upon the universe," the monster snorted a laugh."We welcome you to our Gates."
Danny may have not understood what they said, but he knew it was something bad. He was breathing in fear. "Get the hell out of our planet, you sick, green scaled, freaks!".
They laughed with their pointy tounges. "Kill the mortal!".
