My thoughts on the new report system somewhat vary. I guess overall it's a nice change...except for the fact it didn't include reporting misplaced spam threads so it really doesn't change the majority of the problem with the forums.
GD still seems to have gotten a bit of the shaft when it comes to moderators and such, but according to the post, they are still sorting people, so hopefully we'll get a nice chunk of those helper people to help out. And hopefully they will at least be semi-regular GDers. I still would like to be PMing someone who is familiar/comfortable with the forum when I have a problem.
I also see the new system as having TONS of room for abuse. Say anything even remotely rude to another user now and you'll have to worry about people who are overly sensative cry-babies reporting you. Hopefully those that look into the reports won't just go "Oh, it's reported, it must be bad" and will actually look into things before acting.
Too tired to think of anything else now. I guess we'll just have to see how this new system goes. *crosses fingers and hopes for the best*
