Welcome
Did you ever get up early, on Saturdays?
I did, a while ago, I sent out this message to my friends:
topaz 06

Does anyone remember going to bed early on Fridays? I did.

Does anyone remember why? I do.

It was because there were cartoons worth watching, on the old channels, like Fox Kids, which I used to watch Digimon on. I can't really remember when, but I remember it, I also remember that it became Fox Box. I remember that, because Digimon dwindled down into the corny show that pritty much all TV series have become now-a-days.

Who reading this remembers the ORIGINAL Digimon? With Tye, Mimi, and TK. Who remembers Angemon and Angewomon? Who remembers when they collected the cards and action figures? I do, and I still have them lying around.

Old channels. Geez, I could go into a long rant, but I won't, I'll try to keep this simple, and sweet. I remeber, going to bed, like at 7 pm, and getting up at 6 am, to watch TV. I used to watch alot of cartoons. Among the ones I ALWAYS watched before the 8 o'clock cartoons started was "Sherlock Homes In the 22nd Century." I had fun trying to figure out the misterys. Another, when i was at my grandma's house, was the old Spiderman cartoons. That was so long ago, I barely remember it. I remember, watching the original Poke'mon, before the only variation of the episodes was the name of people and places. I used to watch the TV for hours, atleast 5 I'd say. My problem was, that all the good shows, were on at the same time.

Then, Fox Box and Kids WB started getting repetative in episodes and shows. Again. And again. And again. Digimon was taken off air. One by one, all the shows I watched, were either taken off air, or they got so repetative I stoped watching them. I'm wrighting this on a Friday, and its 11:08 pm where I am currently. Do I still go to bed early? Obviously not, and the only way I get to watch those old shows, is on Youtube, if I can find them. I'm 13, and in High School. I remember everything I have said, and am compleetly honest in this.

What am I trying to say here? The cartoon channels watched are gone. Same station, and probably the same name. (Except Fox Box, I KNOW that was taken over, by 4kids.) But, the programs are gone. They are for the littler kids.

I want my saturday morning cartoons back. I want Fox Kids and Fox Box programs back like Digimon and Shaman King. I want Kids WB shows back like Jacky Chan, the original anyway. I want my Saturday Morning Fix.

Now that I have more time, and can elaborate on what I have posted, I would like to. First thing I'm going to rant on first, is the old TV shows.

How many of them are still on that I watched? Poke'mon, Yu-Hi-Oh, and Sonic the Hedghog. First up on the chopping block: Poke'mon. How many people can honestly say they ever watched this show? I can. I can also say, that I thought that Ash's last name, was Catsup, instead of User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Cetch'um or however you spell his last name. I was in around 3rd grade when the show first came out. It started out on Kids WB 45. I barely remember, when Ash was watching the TV, the match that was on for the first episode, then he forgot to go to Professor Oak's to get his first Poke'mon, and ended up getting a wild Pikachu because that was the only one left. I'm sure just about anyone could fill in the story line from there. I stoped watching Poke'mon after about the 3rd nation league or whatever it is... Hee, I remember collecting the old GameBoyPocket games, Pokemon Red was always my favorite. I had Mew'tew, man those were fun times biggrin , i remember this one version, where, once you beat the game, you could start over with all your pokemon and items from the begining, it was a pain to catch the rest of the pokemon you missed the first time through.

Next: Digimon. Look to the right everyone. See that picture? This probably isn't what comes to mind when I say "Digimon." But, this is the original Digimon, the series I used to watch. With Tai, Mimi, Padamon, and everyone else. Around my room, I have the Birdamon toy that would evolve, as well as Gabumon, as well as all my trading cards. It's been so long sence I stoped watching Digimon, I barely remember anything. I have, however, reacently started watching it again on Youtube, but man, are the episodes hard to find. And before those of you who watched the later episodes start ranting, let me finish...
I stoped watching shortly after they came up with that soul-uniting crap, with Tai's kids, many, many years after the first and second seasons where over, which I always watched. And defiantly before the Digimon Tammers. Geez, the first and second seasons were great. Geez, I don't realy remember, but I might have watched some of the third season. Though, one and two are the ones I remember the most. I used to collect those digivices you know. Me and my brother. I remember one time, at an open house for elementary school, I brought my digivice and put it on silent, so it wouldn't make a racket when I got a fight, and attached it to my waist, because, those things would get you a fight every-so-many-steeps, which were counted by howmany times it shook. Anyway, I brought it in, and got into a couple fights. Then when I got home, I fought my brother, because he had one, and I won so eaisly. And I was using Padamon! Jeez, Padamon was my favorite Digimon, well, second favorite, I can't remember my first favorite. But that's just a side note, one of my memories. Back to the rant.
Wow, I had more to say on Digimon then I thought....

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Anyway, moving onto Sonic. Wow, barely remember anything of it before they put it on the Fox Box ((BKA 4Kids)), but I know there was a series before Sonic X. But, sence I don't remember it, let's talk about Sonic X, which I don't remember much about, but all well. The Sonic series started out pritty much as expected, with Tails, Sonic and Eggman, ((which I think that name does not suit him, he should have stayed as Dr. Robotnik)) fighting for chaos emeralds. Basic, got no problem with it. Honestly I miss this series, because it followed the games that were already out for the most part. Mostly, I'd say, Sonic Adventure 2 twords the end with ARK. Pritty sure thats the game. The only thing I didn't like about the series, was the fact that it had Chris. Where the heck did Chris come from?? Did the producers suddenly think: "Oh hey, we got Sonic and everyone else, why don't we add a human into the gang?" Honestly I think Sonic was just fine without having to have a human on the team.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Memories.... Man, it's been for-ev-ah sence I read the books. Yah, bet'cha didn't know that, Sonic the Hedgehog has books. Yah, that's the truth. I got the first and third lying around my room somewhere.... But anyway. While this doesn't have much to do with the shows, I just feal like spewing some more memories about Sonic. Basically, the books, from what I can tell, happen before the video games, abd before the cartoons. They tell about Sonic growing up, with his Uncle who ran a store of what kind I have forgotten. Anyway, Doctor Robotnik ((B.K.A. Dr. Eggman)) grew up with Sonic and his Uncle, and well, they were rivals, and Robotnik tinkered with the spare mechanics. One of my favorite things Sonic said in those books, was his name for Robotnik, he called him "Dr. Ro-butt-nick." Simple, crude, and funny.

Hmm, what to talk about know... I think I'll move onto... Yu-gi-oh.

Old old old show. I mean, really old. I may only be 14 ((as of late)) I do remember the original series. With Pegasus ((i think was his name)) and Kiba, and the "heart of the cards." This is another series I quit watching, but I have heard about it through various sources I've heard that Yugi isn't even in it anymore... The stupidity is crazy.... I don't even know what to say... Who would of thunk that TV shows have sunk so low, as to take out the main character?? Certainly not me.

Ok, really short rant for the last one, never did watch it that much, even when they were making half way descent episodes. All well.

Done with old shows in modern times, except for the fact that I heard that they are still making Pokemon episodes. (3/9) Not quite sure if that's accurate, but deing, let it die!!!
