UNKNOWN CHILD
There is always a chance to lose life,
Even though I never lived to begin with.
I cry out to the raining gloomy skies,
And wonder why this is happening,
Why does life have to be so hard?
Even when I reach the doors,
Some will open,
But most will fall.
Will it matter if I die?
Will someone be able to look at me-
My casket open?
Or will they be far away,
Away from what has became of me,
And remember what I use to look like,
Alive and well,
Like I use to be,
And couldn’t look at what has became of me.
The soul falls,
Confusion sets in
as darkness covers me,
Drowning in it’s shadows,
I reach out,
But all I caught was air,
The wombs in my mind will not heal,
Nor will my heart pick up beat again,
I lay there breathless,
And unspoken to,
Parents cry,
Friends are paralyzed
Wide eyed of why I chose to die that day,
But I know why,
I did this so this message can get through your damn thick heads!
Showing you,
That this life of mine,
Was not good enough to hold on to,
Go back to where it all started,
To the family that fell apart,
To the schools that made childhood a living hell,
To my calls that were not heard,
So I stand here on this bridge today,
With rushing rapids below,
As I take a deep quivering breath,
My eyes close,
I spread my arms,
As if they are the wings that will guide me,
Everything is soundless,
As if nature was breathless,
Falling forward,
I fall…
Hearing the rapids again,
Then nothing at all…
