my life is at your mercy
Whatever pops into my head at the time and I feel like letting you actually read
At the moment I have to agree with Foamy about haloween. It seems like everything haloweenlike on tv is kid movies or really awful really dumb new horror movies and it sucks. I love horror and what we really need is some good horror movies like those that used to be made, but with the kind of special effects we can now produce. It's like the star wars movies, the old ones had great plot and great actors but awful special effects. Now we have the new movies with great special effects but awful acting and plot. It is getting to a point where I just want to give up on finding any kind of good horror movie and just watch the old ones because they are at least good in the areas that matter. However the newer horror movies are often pretty funny. If you have seen the final destination movies they are almost hilarious, people die without any creepy music, no warning , and just a bunch of very fake blood. Has hollywood decided to make all their horror movies kid friendly so that they can watch the movies without turning into serial killers, or has the imagination in horror movies gone to Japan?

I bring up Japan because I saw the ring for the first time four or five years ago and still wake up sweating in the middle of the night. The Japanese have come up with some of the scariest movies I have ever seen and have the best hollywood effects. I cannot wait to see the new Grudge movie, because I know I will actualy be terrified, at least while I am watching it. Japan has the best horror movies, the best animated films, the best electronics, the best everything it seems right now except plays.

In my search for an awesome horror flick I came across Sweeney Todd (The Deamon Barber of Fleet Street) which tells the tale of a barber who enjoys killing his patrons and having his wife make pies out of them. It is complete with romance and some kind of demon voices, who wouldn't love it? Of course the wondeful music does take away a bit from the horror aspect, it is a far better story than anything hollywood has come out with lately.

So this haloween when my friend and I have our anual haloween horror movie marathon, we'll stick to old movies. this year I think we'll try the Friday the 13th or Nitemare on Elm Street series. Then again maybe some of Ringu and the Japanese Grudge for some real terror on my favorite of all over publicised hollidays.

Happy Haloween everyone and enjoy some real terror this year, or just cut your sister's head off! burning_eyes

hey girl i completly agree with you all the good horror movies did go to the japanese. but on another note if you want an ok american movie i would recommend Red dragon, silence of the lambs and i dont remember the third movie but they're the hannible the cannible trilogy. its pretty grusome if you want to watch people get their body parts eaten (like they're brain and such) as for the cutting off my sisters head......well, my parents wo7uld kill me if i did that. (not that i havent thought of doing that myself) sweatdrop
