So.
Yesterday at school, my friends and I were messing around at lunch, like we usually do.
The bell rang and we all grabbed our stuff and headed out.
I turned on Halloween (my MP3 player), and began out the door, but I was stopped when I saw some girls huddled together, yelling, "Oh my God! There was an explosion! A bomb went off! We're going to die! I'm going to die!" and things like that.
I took it into a bit of consideration and began out anyway, but when I walked out, I saw people running and yelling, and a small cloud of smoke near the B-building... So I walked back inside, my hands in the air, shouting rather loudly, "We've been attacked by terrorists! Someone hold me!"
Alyssa runs up and puts her arms around me, going, "It's Friday the 13th!"
She eventually lets go of me, and I find myself hugging Tarisa, and then eventaully hugging Ashley rather close.
We all walked to our classes, all of us slightly shaken, and the day went on.
The school day ends, and Jeniffer and I walk home together, she asks if she can come over, I say sure, and soon we're at my humble abode. She's messing around on the computer, Daylynn's on the couch, sick as a dog, and I'm sitting on the floor, eating grapes as if they were candy and I was 5.
No sooner does my dad walk through the door, "All right. Off my computer. Go upstairs to yours." I pay him no mind, he goes to the store for a little while.
He comes back, Jeniffer and I are still on the computer, and he gets all pissy. "I said to get off my computer a half-hour ago! Now you can go take the trash out!" So I do. Jeniffer accompanies me, and we come back, go upstairs, mess around on the computer up there.
Jeniffer leaves soon after, and Kristien and I go out to the store to get medicine for Daylynn, because she's still quite sick.
We come back, and we chill at home for a while.
Some time later, Kristien and Dad receive a call. My step-grandma, step-aunt, and roommate have been in a car accident, in the new car that my step-grandma had had for not even a week.
Step-grandma turns out okay, I suppose, but my step-aunt doesn't. She's in ICU, and she's been banged up pretty bad. My dad and Kristien rush out to go get my step-grandma and then off to the hospital. I wanted to go, but they told me I needed to stay with Daylynn, and I did, the phone near me.
Kristien calls around 10:30-11 o'clock, telling me that they were at the hosptial, and my step-aunt was stable, but she didn't look too good.
I decided to go to bed around 12, the phone close, just incase they called again. I remember waking up really early, when Dad and Kristien came back. I don't remember the time... I didn't get up, I just fell back asleep.
Rashelle came home around 8 in the morning. She didn't look too good herself.
I asked her how it was.
"It was really cold outside, and the hospital was cold, too. It looked like a movie. She was just lying there, lifeless, tubes coming out of her mouth. She didn't look good. I don't want to go back." She climbed into bed. "This was the first time I've stayed up for 24 hours straight. If my cell phone rings, and I'm in deep sleep, wake me up. I have to go get Grandma and David."
I nodded and laid back down for a while, watching some TV show on Nick.
I eventually got up, used the restroom, and ventured downstairs for some food.
Daylynn was downstairs, stretched out on the couch, watching TV. A poptart on one hand, a waterbottle in the other.
I took myself into the kitchen and settled for some cereal.
Kristien came down a little later, got some coffee and wandered around the kitchen.
Dad came down right after her and asked us how we were. I gave a shrug in reply, then wandered into the kitchen to talk with Kristien.
"How is she doing?"
"Not so good..."
"Well. What happened in the accident?"
"Well... I heard they were trying to turn, and some Ford comes up and hits the side of the car. Janette was on that side. She hit the side. Her ear is broken, and her skull is cracked on that side, and it's bleeding on the inside. Her arm is broken, and her pelvic bone is fractured. They have her sleeping right now."
"Wow... And she's stable?"
"Yeah. They said she's stable, and she'll be able to recover. But the doctors say they want to run a few more tests, to make sure. They can fix broken bones..."
"Yeah..." I nodded, then found my way back to the couch and watched TV with Daylynn for a little while longer, then hopped in the shower after Kristien.
Now I'm here.
Kristien and Rashelle just left, to go back to the hospital.
Apparently, David was in the accident, too, and he got hurt as well.
They left to go pick him and my step-grandma up from the hospital and take them home.
"Was she hurt, too? Grandma June?"
"Yeah. Not so bad, though. Where her seatbelt was is all bruised, and hard as a rock. Can you do me a big favor, Echo?"
"Oh. Yeah, Kristien."
"In a few minutes, take the clothes out of the dryer."
"Of course... I want to go... But I'll stay here and do what I need to do."
"Okay. There wouldn't be room anyway."
"Yeah. 'Bye."
All this...
In two days time...
Hell has risen, and Lucifer has targeted us.
Yay.
-notes sarcasm-
Everyone is sad.
They aren't my blood, but I still care.
They're so nice to us, and if something even worse happened, or happens, I don't know what I'll do.
I have lots to deal with already...
I just might go totally insane.
This whole ordeal has me feeling rather sad...
And empty...
I feel so useless.
I want to go.
I want to help there.
But I can't.
Why is everything beginning to collapse on me?
