She listened to the door, the lock wouldn’t be much of a problem, but she would need some time to open it. The captain was giving orders; he would be on the deck for another while, so she took the journal and one of her hairpins. She picked in the lock for a while and then…
“Ah, got it!” Ryjia thought when the lock finally opened.
She opened the journal and started reading at 21 October 1842, a week before she got on this ship; maybe she would find some clues.
“October 21, 1842
We’ve been searching for almost a year now and I’ve decided we’re going to take a break in Edinburgh, all of the men agreed, weakling!”
Not much information at all, well, she did use to “work” in Edinburgh. She flipped the page:
