Hmmm . . . . where to start? Well, let's see, now that school's started, there's plenty to do, off of Gaia. I've noticed that a lot of people don't post for days because of their busy schedule . . . . stare
Ah . . . . well. *sigh* So tired. I'm writing this as I'm dizzyingly staring at the computer screen. What was I going to say? Ah yes, well, I have my permit, which I think I already told everyone . . . . (what can I say? I was excited . . . . ) xd
And what else is going on. Ahck! Yes, this shall have a section all it's own!
CHINESE LION AND DRAGON DANCE LESSONS:
Oh! It's soooo much fun. And the only thing I look forward to every week. But it means I don't get home til' eleven thirty on fridays. Bummer . . . not really, but yeah. wink I get to do jumps, flips, and a bunch of nifty footwork. A lot of people call it dancing (I wonder why . . . . *hint* look at the name) but it's got a bunch of martial arts aspects tied into it.
If you've watched Once Upon A Time In China III you'll know what I mean. The only problem I have is when we have our partners. My partners change all the time, since the sensei is still figuring everything out, but I've had to be on the bottom and on the top when we do our martial arts.
Well, look at it this way. We do this move where the person on the bottom has to lift their partner (whose holding the head) and propell them off their knee and onto their head. xp . . . . . sweatdrop Personally, I would much rather be on the bottom, since I won't have to sit on anyone, but I'm not sure how that's going to turn out. For one, sensei wants me to partner up with one of the guys in the class and I'm definately going to be the head of the lion since he's the kid that benchpresses a lot (did I mention he was cute? 3nodding )
^^ Fuko, if you say anything, I will hurt you . . . . biggrin
Anyways, I also have to jump about three feet in the air to get onto the first two poles. eek At least my partner can lift me up. But sitting on his head . . . . crying I'm going to be so embaressed, but he doesn't seem to mind. Not to mention the fact that I'm the only american (half-american) there. The kids all love me, but it's taken me a while to get the other adults to talk to me. But once they found out I spoke chinese, they were fine. Hehe. razz
They're mostly vietnamese (or half-chinese) but the guys all speak some phrases of chinese there. So we have fun joking around and teaching each other bad words. cool ninja No one knows . . . . hehe. I also love the drums, but I think this journal has gone on long enough.
^^ Fuko, this is your second warning. smile . . . . . . . stare
