Mucho funness, though I still need to get away from using black so much...All day Friday, I had twitchy fingers. That's what I call it when I play songs on the table or on my desk. Twitchy fingers. I can't help it sometimes. When people make me stop playing the piano, it really gets annoying.
So anyway, all day Friday, I had twitchy fingers. I'm sitting in math and suddenly...right hand: thumb, index, ring, index, pinky, index, ring, index. Okay, note-wise, that's C#, E, A, E, C#, E, A, E. Left hand is pinky, middle, thumb= A, E, A. Wonderful. So I managed to keep my fingers from totally going beserk during religion, and during choir I was the piano girl, since Castillo wasn't there. Nice. But teh twitchy fingers didn't get to play their song, which happened to be "My Immortal," owing to a frustratingly memorable dream. So, still having twitchy fingers, I was insanely happy to be writing the answers in quiz bowl. I really hope next year I'll be an officer. I should've been this year stare But no matter.
Which reminds me, I need to work on that little tower for the WWII tourn. And then teach everyone how to do it. And that will be my best conribution to the club this year. Probably. Unless I can get a few laughs. Which seems like it'll be impossible. Such serious people!
Oh, yes, fun math problem that Lorentz gave us. I've put my *creative* answer at the end. It made some people laugh.
So, U2 is having a concert. It's dark outside, there's 17 minutes to the concert, they have one flashlight, and they need to cross a bridge. Only one or two people can go together, and the flashlight has to be walked across. Each person walks at a different rate (shown below). When two people cross, the slower time is used. There's no trick to this, just simple logic and distribution of supplies:
Bono- 1 minute
Edge- 2 minutes
Adam- 5 minutes
Larry- 10 minutes
My *creative* answer (and I apologize for my use of violence):
Bono kills Larry with the flashlight: 2 minutes
Bono and Adam cross the bridge: 5 minutes
Bono returns: 1 minute
Bono and Adam cross: 2 minutes
The police come and arrest Bono for murder: 7 minutes
Total time: 17 minutes! rofl
I think either Em, Jor, Jackie, or Mal came up with the idea for killing one of them. I developed the idea. And then got Sarah McB to laugh at it. After she figured out the real solution.
Well, there are Grendel questions to answer and Beowulf names to figure out how to pronounce. Ongentheow? wtf am I supposed to make of that?! I am not good with names Random Anglo-Saxon people!!!!!!! scream
