Like the title says, I went driving today. It was pretty spiffy, though there were a few traumatizing incidents.
First off, I'm just driving along, you know. The first part of the road was paved, and then it changed to gravel. So I'm going about 60, which is ok for gravel, but not the greatest. Then we come into this winding turn thingie, and I kinda forgot that it was a gravel road, so I'm going a little fast into the turn and my back tires started to skid!!! I was like HOLY CRAP! for a second, and then it was all like 'foot off gas, turn into skid, let car correct itself'. I totally recovered really fast, it was awesome. I guess there really was a point to those driving lessons after all. Who knew? *shrugs*
And THEN, my dad decides he' going to take me out on to an actual highway for my first time driving on a well trafficed road. Well, that was somewhat nerve-wracking. Still, it wasn't too bad though. After I got used to going 80, I was ok. I'm just glad there wasn't some ******** behind me who wanted to go a bajillion kilometres an hour. That would probably have ended with me crying.
Speaking of me crying (well not ACTUALLY crying), my dad always actually tries to freak me out when I'm driving. He yells the orders at me and just keeps yelling and stuff. He's all like 'I'm trying to re-create the stressful environment of you driving with your friends." Ok dad, I'll accept that, you have my best interestes at heart, but I'd appreciate it if you'd STOP PUNCHING MY ARM EVERY TIME I CROSS MY HANDS!!! I will eventually remember not to, geebus! Again, my safety, but whatever.
Good Lord I'm a hazzard. Well, not really, but still.
And so ends another episode of 'Godi's quest to be come more mobile!!!'
